What is Amideast Online learning?

Students are provided with a unique username and password to Amideast Online and are welcomed to a virtual classroom where they meet their teacher and classmates. The virtual classroom is designed for students to speak, listen, read and write interactively. The Amideast Online learning platform offers a variety of online resources for beginners to advanced English language learners.

This exchange program, launched by the U.S. Congress and the late U.S. Senator William J. Fulbright in 1946, allows outstanding students and professionals worldwide to study at U.S. universities to further their careers as well as promote international cultural understanding. Here in Iraq, participation in the Fulbright Foreign Student program allows exceptional Iraqis to experience life and education in the United States first-hand.

THE PROGRAM

The Access Program, which is funded by the U.S. Department of State, offers two years of English language instruction and additional workshops that introduce the youth to American culture, community service, policy issues, and career enhancement resources.
