English in the Workplace
English is in demand more than ever across all sectors in today’s global economy. Proficiency in English is now directly linked to greater job opportunities, promotions, and mobility.
Amideast’s English for the Workplace courses prepare you to communicate confidently in business settings through the exploration of global topics, the simulation of real-life work-place situations, and the exchange of ideas with other professionals.
You develop the spoken and written skills needed for client interactions, meetings, emails, phone calls, presentations, and reports. Our expert teachers adapt each course to your professional needs, no matter what your field is.
Amideast’s English for the Workplace courses are offered at the elementary to advanced levels.
For all of our English for the Workplace clients, we create a training program designed to meet the specific needs of the client. In general, all of our training programs consist of the following elements:
- Online placement tests for all staff to determine their English level
- General English language instruction for staff members placed in appropriate groups/levels
- Experienced, qualified teachers from a range of countries
- All instructional materials including textbooks and workbooks are provided
- English instruction supplemented with activities, exercises and vocabulary that can be specific to staff needs
- Testing (quizzes and final tests) for each staff member will be provided
- A point of contact to work directly with the client
- Biweekly reports updating client on staff attendance and performance
- A detailed final report for the client following completion of the course
- Certificates for staff who successfully complete levels
- Classes can be held at Amideast offices in English Village or at the client’s offices or training center
The schedule and fees are dependent upon a number of factors, such as the number of students, length of course, and availability of involved parties.
