English Online For Adults
This online course will help you develop your English language skills through practice of four key skills — listening, speaking, reading, and writing — as well as through grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation exercises. You will join classmates in the exploration of contemporary topics within an interactive virtual classroom that provides many opportunities to practice real-world communication. Outside this virtual classroom, you will be expected to complete assignments that extend in-class learning, collaborate in online discussions, and use a variety of digital resources for further language practice with the guidance of the teacher.
Amideast Online classes require a desktop, laptop, or mobile device combined with a WIFI or minimum 3G network connection. Recommended browsers include:
- Desktop/Laptop: Chrome, Firefox, or Edge (latest versions)
- Mobile iOS (12.2+): Safari Mobile
- Mobile Android (6.0+): Chrome Mobile
In this course, students receive 36 hours of teacher-led instruction, actively engaging with others and practicing the English language through current topics and real-world situations.
Course times and days will be confirmed once a pre-registration form is completed and submitted. An online English language placement test will then be administered. All class materials, including online resources, are provided to students. Class size is limited to a maximum of 16 students. Classes are 90 minutes long, on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
