The 120-hour program is intended for current and aspiring teachers who are proficient English speakers, with little or no teaching background, as well as for experienced teachers who wish to upgrade their knowledge and skills based on the latest language teaching methodologies and emerging trends in the field.
Amideast has partnered with World Learning/SIT Graduate Institute to offer PCELT across the region, providing teachers with top-quality training, hands-on teaching experience, and American accreditation. PCELT's emphasis on practices that create a learner-centered, interactive classroom has already translated into an improved learning experience for tens of thousands of students in the region.

America House is recruiting for a 120-hour English Language Teaching Professional Development program.
This program will provide 12 participants with a meaningful blend of theory and practice, with an ongoing emphasis on hands-on experience and practical application to a wide variety of teaching situations. The overall program approach is grounded in experiential learning, critical thinking, and creative problem solving within a learner-centered framework.

- Start Date: July 21, 2024
- End Date: August 15, 2024
- Location: America House Ramallah pop-up space (located at the Amideast Ramallah Office)
- Schedule: Intensive daily sessions, Sundays to Thursdays, 10:00am to 4:00pm

Eligibility Criteria:
- TEFL, English Language or Literature, English Language Teaching Methodologies university students/ 4th year, or fresh graduates, teachers with no more than 4 years of teaching experience.
- Can attend face-to-face sessions in Ramallah.
- Is available per the intensive schedule above for the training. Applicants are expected to attend all classes to receive a certificate.
- Not a U.S. citizen or a Green Card Holder.
- Committed and passionate about teaching and about professional development.
