Our Work

Our Academic Advisory Board consults with use to create new semester, academic year, and summer education programs. They also assist in vetting the academic content, curricular requirements, and provide oversight as to the academic integrity and quality of the programs.

Academic Overview

• The program includes 2 courses and additional pre-work prior to arrival
• "Life Cycle of Peace & Conflict: Lessons Learned in Northern Ireland" course in Dublin, Ireland
• A study tour to Derry, Northern Ireland to contextualize theory on peace and conflict resolution

Social Innovation Abroad

This program has a front-loaded, 15 contact-hour crash course in Tunisian Arabic, together with Amideast Education Abroad's Community-Based Learning (CBL) course, a 45 contact-hour course about contemporary Tunisia that helps students contextualize their worksite experiences.

Academic Overview

• Arabic: Blended Modern Standard & Colloquial Moroccan (8 credits) is optional
• Colloquial Moroccan Arabic (3 credits) is required if not in the 8-credit course
• Elective Area Studies Courses (3 credits each) taught in French in a variety of disciplines including a Community-Based Learning course.
