THE AMIDEAST ADVANTAGE. Amideast’s longstanding presence in the Middle East and North Africa means that participants benefit from the organization’s extensive engagement in the work framing the Sustainable Development Goals, its strong regional connections, and its belonging in host communities. Amideast Education Abroad Programs offer participants wide-ranging opportunities and support for intercultural encounters on semester, academic year, short-term customized, and summer study abroad experiences in MENA region countries.
AMIDEAST EDUCATION ABROAD. Participants have opportunities to interact widely in our host communities, including with local university faculty members and other professionals, youth, host families, leaders of local organizations, artists, and so many others. Every component of Amideast programs is carefully designed to work in tandem with one another and to intentionally, purposefully engage participants and host communities in issues, events, and contexts relevant to contemporary everyday life.
CORE PRINCIPLES. Our programs are participant-centered and support participants’ learning, growth, and career goals. They are intended to help develop knowledge of the host country and the MENA region, and are designed to maximize exposure to the host culture. We are dedicated to our host communities as the foundations of the life-long work of intercultural learning. Our programs benefit from strong partnerships with US colleges, universities, secondary schools and other crucial institutional and organizational partners both across the MENA region and in the U.S.
