CONVERSATION ONLINE
This course develops students’ ability to communicate effectively in the English language through the practice of listening and speaking, as well as pronunciation exercises. Students explore contemporary topics within an interactive virtual classroom that provides many opportunities to practice real-world communication in a wide variety of situations linked to their personal and professional lives. Outside of the virtual classroom, students are expected to complete listening and oral assignments that extend in-class learning, collaborate in online discussions, and use a variety of digital resources for further language practice with the guidance of the teacher.
Amideast Online classes require a desktop, laptop, or mobile device combined with a WIFI or minimum 3G network connection. Recommended browsers include:
- Desktop/Laptop: Chrome, Firefox, or Edge (latest versions)
- Mobile iOS (12.2+): Safari Mobile
- Mobile Android (6.0+): Chrome Mobile
Course times and days will be confirmed once a pre-registration form is completed and submitted, per the published schedule below. A free online placement test will then be administered. All class materials, including online resources, are provided to students. Class size is limited to a maximum of 16 students.
