THE CIVIL SOCIETY MINI GRANTS PROGRAM (CSMG)

The Civil Society Mini Grants Program (CSMG) at Amideast/Aden enhances the capacities of cohorts of twenty selected local initiatives and associations through intensive training, the provision of competitive financial grants to up to ten local associations to promote local peace and reconciliation and environmental initiatives, and peer mentoring.
The Civil Society Mini Grants Program (CSMG) trainees

Amideast provides targeted training to associations through a series of intensive workshops in project implementation skills (particularly on peace and environment), feasibility studies, finding appropriate funding sources, proposal writing, financial management, project monitoring and evaluation, media and communications, and project management.

At the end of the program, each association presents a proposal to be evaluated by a volunteer panel and up to ten associations are selected to receive funds for their projects addressing peace and security. Amideast coordinates with the initiatives from start to finish via collaboration tools.

Project Outcomes

CSMG participants have the knowledge, skills, and attitudes to apply for funding and implement those funds successfully. Their activities will enhance their initiatives and the thousands of beneficiaries they reach in contributing to peace in Yemen.

CSMG is funded by the U.S Mission to Yemen.

The deadline for the current cohort is June 30, 2024.
