Making a Difference in Yemen
In a country where 70% of the population is under 30, dynamic youth hold the key to Yemen's future. Our innovative program combines intensive English language training with hands-on community engagement skills to empower the next generation of change makers.
Program Journey
1. Foundation Building | Months 1-2
- Competitive selection process identifying 50 promising youth activists
- Intensive 40-hour Fundamental Competencies training covering: Critical thinking, Creative problem-solving, Professional communication, and Project management
2. Skill Development | Months 3-10
- Language Mastery: 195 hours of specialized English instruction and three progressive learning levels
- Community Leadership: Workshops on civic engagement, hands-on project planning, and network building with local organizations
3. Community Impact | Months 10-12
- Competitive mini-grants for "Amideast Yemen Summer Connections" projects
- Professional mentorship from established CSOs
- Implementation of 10 youth-led community initiatives
