The American Corners provide welcoming environments where Tunisians can learn about the United States through diverse programming, as well as through books, movies, games, and magazines. The American Corners offer opportunities for bridge-building between the peoples of the United States and Tunisia and aid in increasing dialogue, collaboration, and partnership between the two countries.
Visitors to the American Corners can access:
- Educational advising for those who want to study in the United States or apply to exchange program opportunities
- Workshops teaching career skills, new technologies, and the English language
- Films, discussions, and lectures on entrepreneurship, leadership, current events, American culture, and much more
- Test preparation resources (TOEFL, SAT, etc.), wireless internet, and computers for use inside of the library
Visiting the American Corners:
The American Corners are open 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM Tuesday-Saturday. They are located inside of the Amideast offices in Tunis and Sousse.
No registration or membership is required to visit the American Corners or participate in activities. In order to borrow books from the library, visitors must have a library card. To obtain a free library card, bring a passport-sized photo and a photocopy of your ID card (CIN) to the American Corner.
