Throughout February 2022, Amideast Leaders, Alumni, and Mentors shared their entrepreneurship expertise in a unique event series. Five alumni of Amideast-administered programs created publicly available content in Arabic and English for the ALAM Entrepreneurs event, and you can find their videos online now!

Join the Amideast community on Sunday, March 28, 2021, from 4 - 5pm GMT+3 (Yemen time)! This free, live event in a mix of English and Arabic is open to the public and will feature Naser Fadhel, faculty member at the University of Minnesota teaching Arabic language and culture.

Join a conversation March 3 on the Localized platform to learn directly from employees at the International Finance Corporation (IFC) about how to find and secure a job or internship. If you're currently pursuing a graduate degree, this could be an especially good fit for you!

Are you a Moroccan student applying or thinking of applying to medical school? Hajar Habbat - a medical student and YES program alumna from Morocco - has tips for you! She gave a webinar on November 2, 2020 to advise you about applying to med schools in Morocco and studying medicine in general. The session was in local Arabic (darija) and you can find the recording and the local announcement here. 

If you are an alum of a program administered by Amideast, you are part of the Amideast Leaders, Alumni, and Mentors (ALAM) network! Alumni of programs administered by Amideast are involved in many innovations in their industries. This is certainly true for Dr. Anas Bahnassi, a Fulbright alumnus from Syria who is a pharmacist who believes in promoting non-traditional career paths. Thanks to Amideast's alumni programming on Localized, Dr. Bahnassi is now reaching large audiences in the MENA region and beyond to share his story and encourage other pharmacists to keep growing individually and within the industry.

What is it like to go from being a student on an international education program, to working on those same types of programs? Many of the staff at Amideast got their start as international students, and many Amideast alumni go on to work in international education. This year, to celebrate International Education Week (IEW), Amideast hosted our first webinar to explore this topic, "Student to Staff: How International Education Can Become a Career."
