Fulbright Foreign Student Program
The Fulbright Program is the U.S. government’s flagship international educational and cultural exchange program, creating connections in a complex and changing world.
Led by the U.S. government in partnership with 160 countries worldwide, Fulbright offers programs for talented and accomplished students, scholars, teachers, artists, and professionals to study, teach, and conduct research, helping to build mutual understanding and find solutions to critical international concerns. Fulbrighters enrich their educations, advance their careers, and make meaningful contributions to communities abroad and at home. As Fulbrighters, they join a network of thousands of alums serving as leaders across the globe.
The Fulbright Foreign Student Program enables graduate students, young professionals, and artists from over 160 countries and territories worldwide to research and study in the United States for one year or longer at U.S. universities or other appropriate institutions. Participants also have the unique opportunity to experience life in the United States and share their unique culture and traditions with Americans.
Sponsored by the U.S. Department of State and administered by Amideast in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, the Fulbright Foreign Student Program is a merit-based award that provides funding for graduate-level study at a U.S. university or college. For over four decades, Amideast has been supporting students from across the MENA region and placing them at universities throughout the United States. Amideast supports these participants throughout their program and once they become alums of the Fulbright Program.
