Mr. Jonathan McKay

Mr. Jonathan McKay currently serves as the Head of Growth at OpenAI, where he is responsible for driving user and revenue growth for ChatGPT. His responsibilities also extend to the strategic allocation of the GPU fleet and developing product infrastructure to support GPU allocation, internationalization, and comprehensive A/B testing initiatives across ChatGPT platforms.

Previously, Mr. McKay held the role of Senior Director of Product at Meta from 2015 to September 2023, where he led projects such as the Year of Efficiency, Instagram Communities, and Central Platforms, supporting product and technical teams across various global locations including Menlo Park, London, and Tel Aviv. His tenure at Meta was marked by significant achievements, such as acquiring 380 million retained new users, preventing Russian interference in the 2018 US Midterm elections, and developing Facebook's Covid Symptom Survey.

Concurrent with his roles at Facebook and OpenAI, Mr. McKay founded m5x2 Capital in March 2016. As the founder, he has successfully managed a portfolio of multifamily and commercial real estate assets worth over $50 million, operating across six cities in three states. He has grown the team from a startup to a robust team of 25 professionals. m5x2 not only covers strategic investment but also extends to overseeing in-house construction, maintenance, landscaping, and property management divisions.

His earlier career also includes impactful contributions as a U.S. diplomat in Saudi Arabia and Iraq, and he is fluent in Arabic and Chinese.
