As the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis, Mr. Rashid Khalfallah is responsible for financial planning, budgeting, periodic forecasting, and negotiation of the annual indirect rates. He develops periodic financial and budget analyses to support the decision-making of the Board, the Senior Leadership Team, and Department Heads. He also acts as the internal expert on matters relating to external audits, compliance with grant regulations, generally accepted accounting standards and internal controls.
Mr. Khalfallah spent five years as Amideast’s internal auditor before assuming his current role. Before joining Amideast, he spent 10 years serving a broad spectrum of publicly held and privately owned firms as an assurance manager at Ernst & Young (EY) and RSM, and as an audit staff at BDO Seidman (BDO). A solutions-oriented leader, Mr. Khalfallah has worked with large and small US nonprofit organizations on complex issues in accounting, auditing, and risk, and traveled to attend to regulatory matters. He has significant international experience, having lived in Tunisia for 32 years and having traveled to most of Amideast’s field offices to support their teams.
Mr. Khalfallah is a CPA and maintains his Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) designation. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Tunis, an accounting career certificate from the Northern Virginia Community College and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in accounting from the Western Governors University.
