Congratulations to Senior EducationUSA Adviser Sana Itayim and Advising Assistant Marwa Shilleh from Amideast/West Bank and EducationUSA Adviser Ilhem Daadaa from Amideast/Tunisia, who received the “Innovative Virtual Programming during Challenging Country Circumstances” award! The West Bank and Tunisia advisers teamed up with their counterparts in Egypt and Lebanon, as well as the Libya adviser in Tunisia, to conduct the first-ever virtual MENA High School Counselors, Teachers and Students Advocates Training Program, a four-day event that included seven workshops delivered in both English and Arabic covering how to navigate the U.S. higher education system, apply to college, and take advantage of the services provided by EducationUSA.
Congratulations as well to Amira Ouardani, the Virtual EducationUSA Adviser at Amideast/Libya, who won the “Rising Star Award” for the MENA region! The award is for new advisers who demonstrate a passion for advising and offer innovative ideas to enhance career services. Amira was also nominated for the Best Mentor Award.
Also recognized were Akram Al Baghdadi, EducationUSA adviser at Amideast/Gaza, and Heba Aboukhalifa, EducationUSA adviser at Amideast/Alexandria, who were nominated for the Unsung Hero Award.
