COMPETITIVE COLLEGE CLUB (CCC)

To ensure that the best and the brightest students in Libya have a chance to attend a U.S. university, we have developed the Competitive College Club (CCC). The CCC is open to all students in Libya regardless of ethnicity and economic background. Appreciation of diversity is a fundamental value on U.S. campuses and integration starts at home.

Applications are now closed!

Overview

Sponsored by the U.S. Embassy to Libya, EducationUSA Libya is now accepting applications to the Competitive College Club. The Competitive College Club is an intensive cohort-advising program that assists Libyan high-achieving high school students in becoming competitive applicants to U.S. colleges and universities. Students in the Competitive College Club (also known as the CCC) will engage in monthly workshops, specialized sessions, presentations, community service activities, and cross-cultural exercises, all conducted in English. Participants will determine which schools and majors are a good fit as they approach college application season.

The CCC is free and 100% virtual. Students will have two meetings to attend per month: a workshop-style group meeting/or a guest speaker presentation, and a one-on-one meeting with their assigned education adviser.

Please note that the club is not a scholarship. CCC students are encouraged to apply for scholarships through the universities portals and will be advised on how to do so successfully. Admission to the CCC club does not guarantee your admission to US universities. This is only an assistance tool; the full responsibility of admission falls on the student`s choice of the university applied to (budget and strategy for financial aid) as well as the student’s profile.
