TOEFL iBT® Test

Discover the new, shorter TOEFL iBT test! Click here to find out more.

The TOEFL iBT® test is the most widely-recognized English language proficiency test in the world, used by nearly 14,000 institutions in over 160 countries. Find institutions that accept TOEFL iBT scores in the TOEFL® Destinations Search.

Take the TOEFL iBT test at an Amideast center or an Amideast-partnered institution. Contact your local Amideast office for more information.

Be sure to register early as test centers can fill quickly. Taking a TOEFL® test at least two to three months before your earliest application deadline is recommended. Taking it even earlier will allow you to re-test if you are not satisfied with your results.

TOEFL and TOEFL iBT are registered trademarks of Educational Testing Service (ETS), used under license.

The TOEFL iBT® test now only takes 2 hours. It's an Internet-based test (iBT) that assesses reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills for academic contexts.

You can view your unofficial Listening and Reading scores at the end of your test. You can also get your full, official scores as soon as 4-8 days after your test. Official score reports will be sent directly to the institutions you designated when you registered.

Score information is kept by ETS. Amideast does not have access to this information. If you are missing your score report, please contact ETS.

You can order additional score reports through your ETS account throughout the test’s two-year validity period. Click here to register online.
