Supported through UNICEF Jordan, Amideast is providing English language and digital literacy skills for 480 Syrian youth ages 16-24 in Azraq refugee camp. Each student receives 80 hours of English language education coupled with sessions on preparing applications for university scholarships, creating a CV, and developing writing skills for cover letters for employment or university applications. Each student in the program also takes the Test of English for International Communication (TOEIC®) Bridge exam, to certify English language capability aligned with international standards as well as improve job and scholarship applications.
