Whether you want to go to graduate school, business school, law school, or are still exploring your options, the GRE® General Test can work for you. The GRE test is accepted by thousands of graduate level programs worldwide.
Some graduate programs will also ask you to take one or more GRE Subject Tests, available for the fields of mathematics, physics, and psychology.
Beginning in September 2023, the GRE General Test will be less than 2 hours long. The GRE Subject Tests will be administered in a computer-delivered format, and will take 2 hours and 50 minutes for the Mathematics Test and 2 hours for the Physics and Psychology Tests.

GRE® General Test
Please note that the Paper Based (PBT) Revised GRE® General Test is no longer available in Iraq. Instead, there are now CBT (Computer Based Test) GRE® test centers. Although Amideast does not operate a test center in Iraq, we can help you register for the Computer Based Test.
Please always plan ahead to book your desired seat on your preferred test date and at your preferred testing location. Otherwise, seats will be unavailable. We recommend that you register in our office at least one week before the test day or more. For late registrations, a late registration fee is always applied, that exceeds the value of our vouchers which make the registration impossible.
Test-takers with access to the internet and an international credit card may register for the CBT test on the GRE website. The registration fee is $220 USD. For students who do not have an international credit card, Amideast provides a local registration service. Registrants will pay $220 USD voucher fee plus an additional $20 USD service fee for registration done via our Amideast office.
If you would like assistance registering for the GRE test at one of the available test centers in Iraq, our Amideast staff are happy to help. Please visit or call one of the below locations:
