ENGLISH ONLINE FOR YOUNG LEARNERS
Amideast Online uses a student-centered approach that is ideal for learners ages 5 to 17. In keeping with the latest in education research and methodology for language development, our online English courses emphasize the importance of engaging young learners in the creative exploration of language in the virtual classroom. Discover how this innovative model will develop your child’s language skills through the use of age-appropriate materials, interactive activities, and ongoing teacher support.
Amideast Online classes require a desktop, laptop, or mobile device combined with a WIFI or minimum 3G network connection. Recommended browsers include:
- Desktop/Laptop: Chrome, Firefox or Edge (latest versions)
- Mobile iOS (12.2+): Safari Mobile
- Mobile Android (6.0+): Chrome Mobile
In this course, students receive 20 hours of teacher-led instruction, using class time to actively engage with others and practice the English language through current topics and real-world situations.
The course caters to the development of:
English Language: Learners are introduced to global topics and related vocabulary to complete reading, writing, listening, and speaking tasks.
21st Century Skills: topics are introduced to promote learners to understand and analyze situations and different viewpoints. Learners collaborate in pairs and groups to think of innovative ways to solve problems and draw conclusions while using technology. Learners ultimately build confidence in voicing their opinions and making suggestions to resolve matters.
Course times and days will be confirmed once a pre-registration form is completed and submitted, per the published schedule below. An online English language placement test will then be administered. All class materials, including online resources, are provided to students. Class size is limited to a maximum of 16 students.
