About the Program
STEM PLUS COURSES (AGE 16-22)
Students will choose one of the two available courses, Graphics, Animation & 3D Printing or Programming & Web Development. All students who complete either of those technical courses will be eligible to apply to the STEM Entrepreneurship course.
Graphics, Animation & 3D printing (48 hours)
Introduction to basic and advanced techniques of motion graphics
Introduction to animation, aftereffects interface, keyframes, layer properties, time and space relations motion paths, kinetic typography, Adobe Illustrator basics, text animation, and expressions
- Introduction to 3D animations, and using 3D printers to build prototypes
Programming & Web Development (48 hours)
- Introduction to Web technology, HTML, JavaScript, responsive and mobile CSS, a summary of PHP language, and Python programming language
- Introduction to user experience, WordPress, and using web development to launch projects
- Introduction to Arduino
STEM Entrepreneurship (48 hours)
- Work on the development of a business or product idea
- Learn critical topics such as developing business a model canvas, identifying target audiences, developing management and financial plans, pitching business ideas, and identifying investment sources
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
Egyptian nationals residing in Greater Cairo
Age between 16-22 years old
Interested in different STEM fields
Willing to fully commit to the duration of the program
*Preference will be given to underprivileged youth in public governmental schools and universities with demonstrable STEM interest, academic excellence, and engagement in extracurricular activities
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS:
A recent photo
A scanned copy of your national ID
A scanned copy of the last school grade report
A scanned copy of a Certificate of Achievement or recognition for academic training or community service (if available)
