English Access Microscholarship Program
AMIDEAST/Oman is proud to work with the U.S. Embassy in Muscat and the Oman Ministry of Education to administer the English “Access” Microscholarship Program in Oman. Since 2010, 320 9th and 10th grade Omani students from government schools in Muscat, Sohar, Nizwa, and Salalah have participated and benefitted from after-school English courses and extracurricular activities focused on developing students’ communicative and intercultural skills and enhancing educational and employment opportunities.
The English Access Microscholarship Program is a successful, worldwide program that has reached 55,000 teenage students in 70 countries since the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational Cultural Affairs introduced Access in 2004.

AMIDEAST/Oman offers a variety of personalized services to give you one-on-one assistance for your journey into higher education in the United States. Each service is customized for the client so that we can help you meet your goals. Before requesting the services below, students must attend a general session at the EducationUSA Advising Center. AMIDEAST’s Educational adviser also offers free one-on-one guidance for students who are pursuing their own research and application process.

Personalized research - Following a personalized interview, our consultant researches and identifies universities from the more than 4,900 that are the best fit for the your goals and abilities. (Starting at OMR 100/- for 5 options)

Advising Services
AMIDEAST/Oman provides accurate, comprehensive, current and unbiased information on educational opportunities in the United States. The Muscat office is part of the EducationUSA network of approximately 450 advising centers worldwide affiliated with the U.S. Department of State. AMIDEAST/Oman follows EducationUSA ethical standards.
The AMIDEAST office maintains an extensive collection of materials on U.S.- accredited educational opportunities for public use, and provides guidance on U.S. study options. Support is also available for U.S. graduates returning to Oman.

The Kennedy - Lugar Youth Exchange and Study (YES) Program in Oman
The Kennedy - Lugar Youth Exchange and Study (YES) Program was established in October, 2002 and sponsored by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs to provide scholarships for high school students (15-17 years) from countries with significant Muslim populations to spend up to one academic year in the U.S. The program in Oman has been administered in collaboration with the Ministry of Education since 2003 and the program currently has 53 Alumni members including 9 students who've recently traveled to the United States.
