Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant Program - FLTA

The Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant (FLTA) Program is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA). As part of the Fulbright Foreign Student Program, the Fulbright FLTA Program is designed to develop Americans’ knowledge of foreign cultures and languages by supporting teaching assistantships in over 30 languages at hundreds of U.S. institutions of higher education.

The Fulbright Program, sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, is the flagship international educational exchange program designed to foster mutual understanding among nations through educational and cultural exchange. Amideast administers the Fulbright Foreign Student Program for the Middle East and North Africa on behalf of the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. This highly prestigious scholarship program up to two-year fellowship, which provides full funding for up to two academic years to achieve a Master’s graduate degree at a U.S.

ENGLISH ACCESS MICROSCHOLARSHIP (ACCESS) PROGRAM

THE PROGRAM

Students participate in 400 hours of English language instruction and additional workshops that introduce the youth to American culture, community service, policy issues, and career enhancement resources.

The English language curriculum strengthens English speaking, writing, listening, and reading skills with additional extracurricular activities. Activities may include guest speakers in the class, field trips in their country for cultural activities (such as films, exhibitions and concerts), and visits to different organizations.
